Swedish Medical Center Strategy And Business Development Associate - Stewardship and Strategic Development in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Strategy And BusinessDevelopment Associate (1.0 FTE, Days) in Stewardship and Strategic Development at Swedish FirstHill in Seattle, WA.
Responsible for partnering with SwedishStrategy, Business Development, and key enterprise and service line stakeholderto support strategic natives in pursuit of Swedish Strategic Plan. Duties will include facilitating initiativesand projects aiming to sustainably optimize market share, develop new programsand initiatives, and expanded markets for Swedish Medical Center and itsservice lines. The focus will be onimproving patient access, enhancing relations with key physicians, performinganalysis of new and existing business opportunities and assisting with Swedishstrategies.
In this position you will:
Continually assesses market factors,including population demographics, competitors, physician utilization patterns,reimbursement and consumer preferences in order to apply marketing analysis,competitive strategic planning for service lines.
Remain informed of emerging developments andtrends in the local and regional healthcare markets by developing relationshipswith consumers, physician groups, managed care plans, insurers and local andregional employers.
Help develop business andmarketing plans for service lines.
Lead implementation of theplan including setting priorities, defining resource requirements, assigningresponsibilities, and establishing time frames
Develop financial strategy analysis,including quantification of financial operating capital requirements,sensitivity analysis, and anticipated impact in changes in financialperformance.
Continually monitor financial performance ofservice lines or new business ventures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor degree required in Health Administration, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
One to three years of experience in project management or transferable skillset
A self-starter with the ability to build trust and lead teams to gain consensus
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics, including extensive experience using Excel databases, Excel Formulas/Equations, and Pivot Tables
Proficiency in data visualization concepts and software such as Tableau
Comfort with financial analytics, including interpretation of financial statements such as pro-formas
Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative
Ability to work well with physicians and administrative stakeholders in a collaborative manner
Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Master’s degree preferred in Health or Business Administration
Prefer one to three years of related experience in a large medical center or health system.
