Swedish Medical Center Stewardship Manager in Seattle, Washington


The Swedish Medical Center Foundation is looking for a Stewardship Manager (1.0FTE, Days) at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Stewardship Manager develops strategies to recognize and increase engagement and philanthropic support for the Swedish Medical Center Foundation through the development of effective stewardship methods for donors at all levels, but with a focus on major gifts.

In this position you will:

  • Establish a comprehensive donor-centered stewardship program and consistent protocols across the Foundation for acknowledging, recognizing, celebrating and communicating with donors about the impact of their investment in Swedish.

  • Lead and develop a team including the Stewardship Officer and Stellar Club Patient Experience Coordinator.

  • Author, edit and write moderate to highly complex reports and correspondence to both specific or wide audiences pertaining to stewardship efforts with a focus on major gifts.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, business, healthcare, education, or a related field

  • Ten (10) or more years of job experience with progressive complexity in a development setting

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Health or Business Administration or related field

  • Experience in a healthcare setting or environment

  • Familiarity with Raiser's Edge
