Swedish Shared Servicesis looking for a Director Best Practice and Clinical Informatics (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Clinical Value Performance Improvement at Swedish in Seattle, WA.

The Director Best Practice and Clinical Informatics is accountable for the overall planning, development, maintenance, and support of the clinical applications for Swedish Medical Center, Swedish Medical Group and Swedish business partners. This position shares responsibility for the success of the integrated Epic application portfolio and Digital Innovation in collaboration with Information Services (IS) and Swedish leaders that span the organization. In conjuction with other Swedish leaders, this position also develops and enforces departmental quality measures, policies, processes and procedures.

In this position you will:

  • Direct a team of Ambulatory Informatics Managers, Supervisors and Analysts to ensure the optimum design and use of clinical software and workflows for patient safety, patient experience, resource efficiency, and revenue capture.

  • Optimize the recruitment and retention of superior managers, supervisors and analysts using excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Mentor direct-reports and reports-once-removed that results in high job satisfaction, high productivity and appropriate career development.

  • Lead enterprise-level performance improvement projects utilizing a strong understanding of the software, the operational workflows and governing policies and regulations.

  • Be responsible for the analysis, design, optimization, and adherence to change control policies and procedures for initiatives impacting ambulatory users across the enterprise, including affiliate users of the Swedish ambulatory system.

  • Act as a liaison to Providence System resources and implementation of clinical applications in the Swedish region.

Qualifications:

Required qualificationsfor this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university

  • Completion of project management course work or equivalent healthcare IS / clinical project implementation experience

  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience in Ambulatory healthcare management with significant experience in the integration of technology and workflows

  • Recent experience in a manager role with adherence to accepted HR processes

  • Training and experience on Ambulatory Epic

  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio

Preferred qualificationsfor this position include:

  • Master's degree in Business or Health Administration

  • RN certification
